Amazon Tax Webinar: Summary and Podcast

Posted by: Jonathan Ezor
February 26, 2009
Topic: Internet and Privacy Law

The Webinar covered both the overall legal concerns about running affiliate programs (fraud, improper marketing by affiliates, etc.) as well as the new tax law, Amazon's lawsuit (whose recent dismissal, as discussed here, has been appealed by Amazon) and what merchants must do to comply with the law (with particular focus on the two technical service bulletins issued by New York, TSB-M-08(3)S and TSB-M-08(3.1)S.  There were followup questions from the attendees, both during the Webinar and via e-mail.

For those that either attended or weren't able to participate, please click on these links to download the slides (in Powerpoint format) and a podcast of the audio portion.  We look forward to offering additional Webinars; please feel free to send feedback on this Webinar or suggestions for future topics to Andrew Lustigman.  For more on our firm's Internet law practice, please use this link.
