Portal Affiliate Click Fraud: A Growing Problem

Click fraud continues to present a growing problem for search engines and their advertisers with estimates  that 14.1% of pay-per-click web searches are fraudulent.   This increasing percentage is bound to scare those who pay for clicks through portals and who are allocating a significant portion of their advertising budget. While portals seek to develop alternative compensation packages for affiliates, that model will not work for everyone.   The bottom line is that portals need to enhance their click fraud monitoring now before the marketing channel loses credibility and viability.
